MEC: To get started, you need a WordPress site. This involves paying for hosting and a domain, installing themes, securing the site and updating plugins.
HotWay: With us, there is nothing to install. Simply register and immediately begin creating events, assigning roles and start
scanning tickets. The interface functions like a modern SaaS platform.
2) Buying Plugins and Additional Modules
MEC: The basic functionality is limited. To sell tickets,
export PDFs, or set up scanners you must purchase at least two or three add-ons.
HotWay: We offer a fully functional free plan – up to three events and 300 tickets.
3) PDF Tickets via External API and CSS
MEC: To generate attractive PDF tickets, you need to configure an external service (such as SelectPDF) and write your own CSS. This requires technical skills and takes time.
HotWay: PDF tickets are generated automatically. You can add a logo, custom fields or comments.
4) Difficulty of Scaling
MEC: If you have ten events, you must manage them within one WordPress system or create separate websites. Adding analytics, roles or integrations is complicated.
